Since our start in late 2009, we've been busy with the build season and outreach. Below is a list of what we've been up to:
2010 Season: Girls Generation 2010
Our team just finished participating in the first "All Girls" scrimmage called Girls Generation. Our girls did great and learned a lot!
Challenge Air 2010 August Garage Sale Our second garage sale was also profitable, and we thank Gladstone High School for use of their building. Summer Camp 2010 This was our first summer camp and it was great. We were able to teach the students the basics of Lego robotics and spread the FIRST message.  June Garage Sale/Car Wash Fundraiser Our first fundraiser of the summer went well. We sold most of our items, and hope to have another sale later this summer. In addition to the sale, the weather was nice enough for us to hold a car wash. Thanks to Valley Glass in Oregon City for their support and for the use of their facility. 2009 "Breakaway" Season: Afghanistan Outreach:
The Afghan outreach program was when we sent pairs of tube socks filled with candy to the soldiers in Afghanistan for Christmas. Several of us bought and stuffed the socks with candy, plus we also sent Christmas cards to the soldiers for Christmas presents. All of the team participated in making this project happen. Shortly after we sent the Christmas presents an unexpected but pleasant gift ourselves, when the soldiers sent a picture of there troop along with a thank you letter. All in all it was well worth it, and hopefully we get a chance to do more for them in the future. Bunny Bot 2009   |
